At SRS our Specialist and experienced staff cater for everyone, from the nervous to the brave, young and old, novice or experienced, and those with special needs plus carriage rides.
We can teach to competion level dressage, jumping and Western Riding.
Our instructors have all competed to a high level and are excited to share their knowledge and skills
People with special needs are also very welcome and we have very qualified staff to make the experience fun and educational.
We currently work with adults and children that have Special Needs and Mental Health Issues, lack of confidence and those returning to riding alongside children and adults that want to learn to ride and those just wanting to spend time around horses.
Whether you want to keep your horse or pony with us or learn to ride, or both, we can help you to improve your riding, you can join our Kids Club, Riding
club or learn to work a horse on the ground, spend a 'day in the life' of a equestrian.

Special Requirements & Carriage Rides
Smallfield Riding School is one of the very few Riding Schools that work with people with Special Needs. We can tailor a session around your needs, whether it's riding lessons, a quiet hack, grooming a pony, having a carriage ride or just hanging out. People with special needs and mental health issues benefit enormously from interaction with horses. Horse riding helps develope communication, co-ordination and balance and aids muscle tone. Contact with horses has a calming effect and an ability to engage with another living creature. We have qualified staff and helpers on site Prices start from £15 - Weight limit is 16 stone
