Understanding Help is Always at Hand
SRS horse riding and carriage riding allows our visitors to enjoy the experience of freedom that comes from engaging with horses. Many people - adults and children - with special needs benefit enormously from equine related therapy. Horse riding helps develop co-ordination and the organisation of movement. It also aids balance and muscle tone.
Contact with the horse has a calming effect, and the person can engage in a relationship with a real living creature. Many special needs people have a notable ability to connect with horses. At SRS we offer riding lessons, ride and groom sessions, paint your pony – using hair chalks and glitter – suitable and safe for children, and carriage rides.
We are an inclusive, friendly and experienced riding school that can cater to everyone’s needs. Our horses are second to none and are able to cater to any ability.
Staff at SRS consists of Teaching Assistant, Counsellor, Psychologist all with over 50 years experience between them, alongside members of staff, some of whom have special needs and our qualified volunteers.
