SPECIAL NEEDS HORSE RIDING AND CARRIAGE RIDES
SRS is one of the very few equestrian centres that specialise in working with people with special needs, autism, asbergers, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Depression, anxiety, eating disorders and challenging behaviours, deaf and partially sighted, domestic abuse survivers along with groups and individuals.
We offer a variety of services, which include horse riding, carriage rides, grooming sessions and we can cater a service that suits you.
Our aim is to provide a positive experience in a relaxed and engaging environment that builds both self esteem and confidence.
We work with Limes College, Challengers Team, Team Wimpy, Ashcroft Care Services, Pathway Care, Reigate and Banstead Womens Aid, Chartwood School, Redehall School, Plumpton College, Littlehampton Academy, The Willows, Learning Space and many others, as well as private individuals and groups.
Studies show that being with horses has a calming effect, can reduce anxiety and create a sense of well-being, as well as aid muscle development and co-ordination.
Staff at SRS consists of Teaching Assistant, Counsellor, Psychologist all with over 50 years experience between them, alongside members of staff, some of whom have special needs and our qualified volunteers.
